Join us on Wednesday, October 4th, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. MT at Another Gallery for an exclusive opening night exhibition of works by Franklin Riley.
Franklin's work is a celebration of his love for film and fine art. He skillfully intertwines enchanting pauses found within the world of cinema and classical Italian painting techniques.
We are honored to welcome Franklin to Denver, where his talent finds a new canvas for expression. With an established presence in the Chicago art scene, he brings a wealth of creativity and innovation to our thriving arts community. His arrival is a testament to the city's growing reputation as a hub for genuine artistic talent.
Franklin is a painter residing in Denver, CO, where he finds inspiration by gazing directly at sunsets alongside his faithful companion, Maxwell, his dog. His artistic process unfolds in a canvas tent saturated with natural light, set outdoors near the majestic Rocky Mountains. With over 30 years of experience in the fine art and gallery industry, Franklin has left an indelible mark. Notably, he served as the Director and owner of Fulton Market Gallery in Chicago's vibrant Fulton Market/West Loop neighborhood. Additionally, he curated art for the renowned Fulton Market Kitchen, a graffiti-adorned restaurant.
Franklin's remarkable artworks grace numerous private and corporate collections, including notable hospitality clients such as Starbucks, Hilton, Doubletree Hotels, St Charles Trading, DIFFA, Red Bull, Design Within Reach, and iCanvas. His formal training encompasses the Sculpture Program at GVSU, printmaking at the Academy Belle Arti Perugia in Italy, and Painting & Art History at Kendall College of Art & Design.
In 2019, Taylor & Alicia Herda embarked on a transformative journey to cultivate a vibrant hub where artists and art enthusiasts could unite, infusing fresh energy into the Denver gallery scene. Behind the weathered veil of wood and brick, we discovered our canvas—a tribute to the inherent beauty and cultural richness that Denver radiates.
Our goal: to establish an inviting and inspiring space, one that remains open and flexible to cater to the ever-evolving desires and aspirations of both our talented artists and valued patrons.
